Trick or Treat

Today is the day they call it trick or treat. I relialized since last year how crazy the people here in US to celebrate this event every year. They put scary decoration in their yards and even inside their houses.

When my hubby and came home from Oriental store tonight we saw a lot of cars park in the side of the road. We saw a lot of kids dressed up with different costumes. Some dressed like the princesses, heroes, cheer leaders and etc. They are all carrying their baskets where they put their candies later on. We are surprised like almost every street inside the subdivision are having a party right now. I'm not against with them; for me they should invite me-bawahahaha.

Not feeling well

Just this afternoon I felt that I was having a fever. I don't know exactly the causes but there's a big possibility because of the changes of the weather. Every time I woke up in the morning and prepare my hubby's coffee and breakfast the temperature down into 30's.When the afternoon come it goes up upto 50's. I heard some people get sick because of the unstable weather too. I became a whiner when I'm not feeling well. I want my hubby be in my side all the time. Hope I'll be alright tomorrow.

Emma wanted to play with me today. She offered me her veggietales puzzle. I've done couple times and got tired of course of doing over and over. She wanted me to resolved the puzzle again. I said, I'm have enough now it's your turn. No, play again Mimi.

I turned to her and said, hey' "who are you, the boss?. To my surprised she answered me "Yeah, I'm the boss". She smiled and repeated her command "Play again Mimi, The BOSS is here". What...? I knew that was funny when the kid will replied to us with the grown up words. But, they should know to obey the grown ups... I was okay when we were playing but acted like my superior that would be a different story. I try my best to be a good friend, overseer, buddy, company but I want her to respect me as well. Haaay, the kids are very smarter now a days. We grown ups should think beyond what they thought-hahaha! If possible only...!

Vacant Lot No more!

When we moved here last year, the lot next to us was vacant and full of trees. Every morning my husband and I heard the birds chirping from our bathroom window. We hoped that no one would buy the vacant lot and that the trees would remain forever. We were wrong, last month one of our neighbors told us that somebody bought the vacant lot next to us and they were planning to build a house there very soon. Soon enough after a month, the owner started cutting those trees and burned them. I was so sad watching those workers while they were cutting the trees. I was sad knowing that I could not see the birds living in that small thicket; I could not hear their chirps every morning.

Washing Machine is Broken

Last Saturday while I was washing our sheets our washing machine stop without further reason, lol. I don't know exactly what was the problem just my sister-in-law and I discover it. We thought it was just the outlet messed up because when we use the extension cord and turn on again it runs. I finish washing the sheets and when my sister-in-law took over was still running until it rinses.

I heard that the motor stopped I thought just like the normal cases it stop every time the laundry's done. I checked to think to put Lisa's clothes in the dryer then I can load some of our laundry but I saw the water stucked up and it didn't drained. I tried to plug in different outlet again but too bad it never work after all.

Yesterday, I started washing by hand some of our dirty clothes. Lastnight, I did some more and I was thinking to do more tonight but it depends hows my body reacted. I was very tired last night and I felt sick when I got up this morning. My hubby told me to wait until we got the washing machine fix that I will not make myself tired but well, I can do it I replied. Hope I'll finish the rest of our laundry later.

Tissot

What time is it? I am very time conscious. I want everything to be done on time. But somehow there are some circumstances that we cannot be on time. Last week, my hubby bought a new battery for his wristwatch. He asked me to drive him to the store. I am not an expert driver yet, but I did it anyway to enhance my driving skills. When we stopped on one of the intersections I was worried that I might roll back and hit a car behind us. It is so difficult for me to drive my hubby’s car, because it is a standard. When you stop on the hill and go forward, the car will roll back so you have to catch it quickly with the clutch and the gas pedal. I didn’t quite get to the gas and let off the clutch quick enough so I hit the car behind us. Thank God everyone was alright and only a few scratches were seen on the other car.

Cold morning

When I got up this morning I felt a little chilly. I checked the temperature and it was 31F outside. Wow, that was very, very cold. This is the first morning that temperature went down and reach the 30's. And, this is the first day our heater running.

But, this will not be remain in 30's for the whole day it will went up up to 50's today. We will let the heater running until tonight because it will went down to 30's again. Because of the changes of temperature us make us a little sick today. My throat is bothering me as will my nose...!

Ouuuccchhhh...!!!

Bummer...bummer...bummer my head keep repeating. I was so excited when the mail man rang our doorbell few minutes ago. I shopped on ebay 2 weeks ago and I am waiting for the item for more than a week. In fact, I emailed the seller that I haven't receive the item that I purchase from her. She said she make sure that I will receive the item very soon.

Thought that today is the day but to my surprised I received the wrong item. Ouuuchhh!!! I guess you understand what I felt right now. I feel bum, bum, bum, and bum. But I understand somehow that because the seller sells so many items at the same time and she wasn't paying attention when she sent the items to the right buyer. Actually, I learned a lesson from this experience who knows I'm gonna start selling stuff on ebay one of this days and this situation prepare me, hahaha. I guess, I feel better now...! I'm gonna send this item back to her and ask her to refund me with the mailing cost.

The 500th 3P post

I just completed my 500th 3P post. Kinda slow since I finish my 400th 3P post because this is the only blog that make money from their network. I was one of those affected of their cutting off blog. But, I never hold any grudge or mad to them. They have their own point of view...they are my boss.

As a regular employer I have nothing to do when the boss fired me. Even there's no further reason. Hehehe..it hurts but that were the spices of life... As I always said, "All things worth for good for those who love God". Thank God that I still make money online through blogging. This is a tremendous blessing for me. I have no reason to complain.

Upon this rocks...!

Remember Apostle Peter said, upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it, (Matthew 16:18). Rocks has many uses...I remember when our house was under construction our builder said our lot was full of rocks. They have to dig the big rocks before they start building our house. I would say, upon this rock they build our house.

In my flower bed sorrounded by rocks. We defined the problem everytime there's a rain the mulches washes. So, putting the rocks around in it helps to stopped the mulchs from flowing. Saturday and Sunday afternoon, I carry more rocks to put around my flower bed. I planted the tulips bulbs last week and I am looking forward to put more guard around them. I replaced some small rocks to big rocks...It looks good too. Besides, I didn't get lonesome being in the house the whole weekend while my hubby was on his jazz music practice. To apply in our spiritual life rocks refer to God he is a good foundation of our life. He wil help us from falling and from draining though the pressure are very strong.

The Alarm Clock Messed up?

On Sunday, we set the alam clock on 7:30am. My hubby have to get up earlier to prepare himself, his guitar and other electronic stuff that he need to bring in the church. This morning when I woke up I saw the time was 6am. I went back to sleep until my hubby got up and went to the toilet room and he went back to sleep again. We waited until the alarm will rang. Yes, it did at 7:30am. My hubby got up and make his coffee. Looking on the stove and microwave clock it said 8:30am. He came in and asked that time in our bedroom clock is the accurate,right?

I turn on my laptop to clarify and he look on his wristwatch both said were passed 8am. He hurriedly pack some of his stuff and I told that I can load to his car while he is taking a shower. I also, pick his clothes to wear. Whew...! Thank God only happens on Sunday not in the regular days.

Fall Festival 2008

Who are you tonight Ms. Mimi? The question I heard from the kids when I came in the church premises last wednesday evening. I said, I'm the member of "M-I-B". Men in Black? No, "Mimi-in-Black", lol. They were laughing and said but you are trying to immitate the Men in Black outfit. That's right but I'm a Woman. Huh? Where's the "Men in Black"? Right there, pointing on Lance's direction. Aha, you're right Mr. Lance is the "Man in Black" not you...! I told you I'm a member of "M-I-B", just in my personal meaning. The kids agreed too!

Yes, we had an early fall fest celebration for our AWANA club. That was one of the special events for the AWANA kids who come to our classes this year. They invited some of their friends to join them on this special events. We Awana staff, prepared games and candies for the kids to enjoy. Lance and I assigned on the "Pingpong tossed" area. The toughest and tiring games ever. They could hardly shoot the pingpong ball inside the jar, it bouched up and we have to run to get the ball before we lost. To see the smiles of those kids made us happy too.

One of my favorite game was the "maze". This year, Jesse made a big, long, confusing maze. On my first try I almost give up in the middle of dark; I was lost, I could not get out. When I finally found the exit I was happy and I did it couple times with little Emma (the daughter of hubby's bestfriend). She loves it and asked me to do it again and we did.

That night, Lance and I accompany Dan in the bus to dropped the 20 kids off to their home. I thought they live close where our church was but to my surprised they live 20 miles away. So thankful their parents let them to come and attend AWANA program in the church. They are the kids ages 4-12 years old. They wait for the bus to come and pick them up in the afternoon and dropped them off after AWANA at 8:30 in the evening.

Pictures..pictures...! We were busy that night with our assignments and we didn't get a chance to took picture of the kids. We have an official photographer so I'm waiting to receive a copy from her soon.

When Circumstances happen- wrecked

When my hubby came home from work today he asked me to go to wal-mart store. I was hesitant to go but I did anyway. He told me to drive the car and I did too. I'm still doing my practice actually. And, I was practicing his standard car this time. This is not my first time to drove his car going to the store. But, unexpected circumstances happened while I tried to make my turn in the hills intersection.

I always had trouble in that hill intersection but I surpassed many times too. Tonight, I failed the car rolled back and hitted the car behind us. In standard car is far different from automatic cars. The automatic you only focus on the break and gas pedal but the standard clutch, break and gas pedal. My hubby really want me to learn to drive both of the cars.

We got out from our car and check what I had damaged from the car behind us. My hubby took over the driver seat and pulled the car a little bit. I was thankful we didn't see anything from their car bumper. It happened that there's police car passing us. They stopped and helped us.

The husband was so nice and very sweet and he said, everything was fine. So thankful nobody was hurt and our cars were in good conditions. But when the wife went out and check it and she pointed the barely seen 2 scratches in the bumper. She and her husband argued a little bit. The husband said, that's alright we're not sure that scratches only happened today. The wife insisted, lol. The funny about it the husband rolling his eyes and smiled to us. Lance and I looked each other and smiled too. The policemen were smiling too because they also barely seen those scratches.

But we knew our responsibility, we have to take care the said damaged. Lance's called Mom (she is our insurance agent), to informed her what happened. We settled to them and gave them our insurance policy included our contact number. When we explained to them that I'm practicing my driving they understand and encouraged that it happens to a lot of people all the time. The husband hugged me and told us we will not worry about it. His wife cool down after awhile especially when she found out I was driving the standard car. She said, she don't know how to drive those cars who has gear stick-hehehe. Well, that wrecked was a blessing too; we met our neighbor. Those couple live 2 street away from house. We will wait until tomorrow when they calculate how much the cost to cover those scratches.

Going Back To School

This week the desires of going back to school filled my heart. When I arrived here last year my hubby and I thought that be good if I take a course or have a certificate from the school here in Arkansas. I had my associate diploma and as we look on my creditials almost all my subjects are credited here too.

My hubby helped me to inquire the school that I plan to enroll soon. They said we just have to fill up the admission form online. That's the picture above. Yes, we filled up the form and waiting for their reply. When they accept me I will start taking courses this Spring 2009. I'm so excited about it...I will finalized later on what course I'm going to take. I am slowly starting and getting all information together. My hubby is helping me to make this happen too. If this is what God wants me to do next year, everything will be provided.

He sent his son to paid off our sin in the cross. As I look back on the sacrifices of Jesus I can't imagine how he suffer and sacrificed for me. He is the king yet, he stepped down in his throne to carry the cross. The same cross where he was hanged. On that cross I receive the grace of salvation through faith. This salvation is absolutely free. Look back what the Lord has done!

The Cambodia Divorce Case

This might be hilarious but it happens in reality. I got an email from my friend an article that talks about the Cambodian couple divorce case. I know this is very sensitive topic and serious one but it cracked me up.

A couple from PHNOM PENH, Cambodia has ended their 18-years of marriage with a divorce settlement that entailed sawing in two the wooden house they once shared, villagers. That makes them to have a unique settlement.

The husband, 42-year-old Moeun Sarim, has taken away with him all the bits and pieces of his half a house, said his 35-year-old wife, Vat Navy. "Very strange, but this is what my husband wanted," she said by phone from a village about 62 miles east of Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh. She said they ended their marriage last month. As we read that scripture in Matthew 6:27- clearly instructed by Jesus that we can't do anything when we worry. Instead of worrying why not letting God be God and will work in our behalf. He is powerful, mighty and loving. I am telling myself that I have to let God take care of everything. Yes, sometimes it's easy to say and hard to do. Through Christ we can do it! We need the guidance of the Holy spirit.

We are having the fall fest!

My hubby and I are working together in Cubbies this year. We learn to be more patience to the little kids and enjoy their curiousity. We have 5-7 students in our class and with the 3-4 ages you know how they lively our class every week.

This coming wednesday our fall fest was scheduled in our calendar. Our kids are looking forward to enjoy all the games we prepared and receive candies, of course! They are also excited to wear the costumes they want to wear. I don't know what I'm gonna be yet...I suggested my hubby will be "Man in Black", so maybe I'll be "Woman in Black" too. What do you think? Haay, maybe I'll do that, I have to look in my wardrobe if I have something to wear, lol.

Arkansas Symphony Orchestra

Last Saturday evening, my hubby and I blest to have free ticket to watch the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. That was my first experience in the Orchestra house and I can't believe that I enjoyed so much.

When I got here last year my hubby told me that how he wanted to take me to orchestra and find out what I'm gonna say about it. He has been their for many times during his college. I was hesitant to go because the cost kinda expensive and I wasn't sure that I will have fun. But, when our Pastor wife offered the free ticket I said yes, I'll give it a shot. Sure do, I had so much fun and I am looking forward to go back there again.

It was the Violin performance and I was amazed with the teenager guest Shannon Lee. She learn to play violen when she was 4 years old. She made my evening with her stunning performance. We can't help it but giving her long applaused. She deserves with the ticket price,lol.

After the Symphony Orchestra my hubby and I got hungry and we drove home but we stopped at T.G.I.F to have had supper. Indeed, it was wonderful date and fantastic night for both of us. I found Shannon Lee video in youtube..look how bad violen player she is.

For a couple of days, I’ve tried to figure out how to make my own blog design. As you can see I only have plain colors. I am still working on the header, background and other stuff. What did I do? I looked for different pictures that I can use to be my background. I got tired of trying to find a good picture. I wanted my hubby to help me, but I also wanted to learn on my own too. I kept looking and searching online. There is a website called Acobox. Acobox hosts images that surely will look good on your blog site.

And, all images are already screened and optimized for using with blog posts. Most of the time, the default image codes are good enough for your blog posts, if you like, you can still customize text alignment, tune image size for fitting in your post perfectly. Arkansas 2008 State Fair

The 2008 Arkansas State Fair will end up in 2 days. Lance and I invited our family to come with us to see what's in there. But, Lance and I agreed with our friend Dan and Jonathan to get the wristband for unlimited rides. We got the discounted card because we purchase it at the Harvest Food.

I have fear of heights but I am brave as well. I love to challenge myself and defeat my fears. Purchasing the wristband means one thing "dare the heights". When we got to the fair state my hubby and I seperated from our family. We went to exchange our card to wristband at the booth. Dan and John were waiting to us at the extreme ride. Yes, my hubby and I started at the extreme ride. It was really extreme, we were flying high and spinning very, very fast. I was scared and had a little regret,lol. I screamed very loud like the other riders I felt better and I lost my fear and enjoy the ride. After we done with extreme ride I dare to ride some more. I took the rides with my hubby and Danny because John got scared-hehehehe. We took the clif hanger and that was fun but it hurt our neck, we were lying with our tummy and everytime will go up high we raised our neck too. I don't know why, maybe the pressure above. The super shots was fun...we go up slowly for 120 feet or more for about 2 minutes but they dropped us like less than minute. I didn't get my full scream,lol.

This is my time be in the state fair and I had a great time. We missed the tiger show but that's alright my hubby and I got our rides. My hubby was too brave to take the screamers ride. Dan and I didn't do it I also let 2 men to take the typhoon ride I had enough after my 5 screams rides. I'll wait for awhile to take those rides again. I had so much tonight!

Who is this reserve, sweet, cute and beautiful chinesse lady? The first I saw Carmen Soo on Philippine TV my first impression are petite, cute and simple person. I was wondering what she's gonna offer with her team up with Jericho Rosales (echo) the filipino actor. I knew Jerecho as one of the phenomenal filipino young actor in this generation. But, I tell you I wasn't become a fan of him. I wasn't really care about his movies and his tv appearances. When I was in Malaysia 3 years ago many Malaysian I met asked me about him and other famous young Filipino celebrities like Kristine H. John Lloyd C. Bea A., and Diether O.

With the team up of Carmen Soo and Jerecho R makes me like echo's now. They are both phenomenal and good actor and actress. They look good together on cameras. Their loveteam makes a lot of viewers fall inlove in the show and in their characters. I research on wikipedia to check Carmen Soo background and I found out she is the one of the hottest actress and model now a days. Good choice for both abs-cbn channel and the Malaysian network for Echo and Carmen team up.

Surgery Cancelled

Today, suppose to be my sister-in-law will undergoe the lapband surgery. Last Monday, she started having a doubt to pursued her that kind of surgery. She talked to me and my husband and asked what will be our opinion. I told her what really bugging in my thought for couple days maybe that would be the answer.

In the last couple of days before she told us that she was not comfortable right now of having lapband surgery this week I had that uncomfortable feeling too. I only shared my thought to my husband that will not discourage his sister. God works properly, Lisa asked our opinion about it and I told her what I felt and my husband agreed. The same answers she got from the entire family. When she told her co-workers she was surprised with their reaction. They all both agreed and will help her to diet program. And, the one of her co-worker that she less expected to be happy of her new decision is the one who is helping her to go in the gym right now. That's how amazing when God works...He works beyond in our expectations.

I won the bidding again

When you start shopping online will get you into addiction too. This is what I feel lately. The last time I won the skinny Jeans at ebay bidding for $3.35 I kept tracking and looking for another item to bid again. Last weekend I won this two set item for less than $10. Isn't that great? Jesus Resisted Temptation

I started eating food rich in Iron

In two days, I started eating food that rich, rich in iron. I started with brocolli. I was very sick (dizzy, headache, out of focus) when I called my hubby and he remembered we bought brocolli and we didn't eat yet. I put in pyrex bowl and cover with a lid and put in microwave for 3 minutes. I added a litte water and salt to taste. When it was cooked I eat plain and drink with a glass of grape juice.

When taking an iron vitamins or eating food this will become more effective if we eat or drink along with food that rich in vitamin C. Grape juice contents more Vitamin C. I had brocolli in my breakfast yesterday too. I may have again for dinner tonight. Lol. Tomorrow I will have spinach...

Why are we terrified?

As a human, we can't avoid to feel the fear and be terrified. Long time ago, Jesus was with his disciples. But even He was around with them they still have the fear. They still have doubt. “They were fearful and terrified…but Jesus said, ‘Why are you troubled?…It is I myself!’” Luke 24:37-38. This is the assurance of Jesus to each and everyone of us. He is the God who controls every circumstances. He is the God who give life, the abundant life.

Tell yourself, If God is for me who can be against me! Because where I go God is with me.

Stainless Steel Sinks

When our house was built by our builder he asked us what brick color we wanted. I had no idea what brick color I really wanted so I let my hubby decide. He picked a red and black color that turned really well. Since both of us had no idea of what our kitchen, bedroom, dining rooms colors would be we let our builder decide what was good also. We only had one color inside the home and that was oyster white. The tiles are light brown except the kitchen bars that are a darker brown. Recently, I started buying some decorative pictures to hang in the walls.

I told my hubby that I want our living room to have a contemporary design. So far, I started decorating in our master bathroom. I thought a tropical style would be great since our bathroom is on the east side of the house and besides I came from a tropical country. We are still working on the kitchen; we only have one pottery to display on the to of the cabinets. Planning and decorating the house is a kinda tough job, especially when I really don't have any experience in doing that sort of thing. I guess I’ll have to focus in the kitchen area now. I have an Iron defiency. Two years ago I felt my body need food that rich in Iron vitamins. The iron tablets helps but lately the tablets not enough to supply more iron in my body. I need to eat more food that has iron in it. Here are the symtoms of iron deficiency:

Stretching time

I didn't to posed like that when my hubby took this picture. This was taken last month outside the building where he works. I guess, I had a beautiful and productive day that time. Reminiscing the summer breeze! Now, I've seen the leaves starts turning yellow and red. In few weeks they will fall in the ground...haaay, the trees will be nude (my version) again,lol.

Lapband Doctor

Next week my sister-in-law will undergo lapband surgery. Her lapband doctor advised her to drink liquid food for 15 days before the surgery. She read many reviews about lapband surgery and her Doctor assured this is will help her to lose weight. As far as I know this is not a major surgery and is very very safe. We, her family, are supporting her decision about doing this lapband surgery. We look at the positive side and the good results of this surgery for her body. This will keep her from possibly developing Type 2 Diabetes.

Meet Jonnah Ashley Mae

These are my nieces Jade Ruth and her litte sister name Jonnah Ashley Mae. She was born last June 17, 2008. I was very anxious to see Ashley picture couple months ago but my sister didn't send me until the other day.

Time flies so fast Jade Ruth look like a lady now in this picture. She is now 9 years old and very proud ate to Ashley. My sister and I grew up together and we fought each other all the time during those days. But when we were seperated our ways in 1997 I started missing her. She got married and have Jade when we met again in 2002. Our relationship became closer and even better after that.

Now, my sister have two beautiful girls. I took Jade in Mindanao, Philippines for a year when my sister left to work abroad. I was glad my brother-in-law's let me to do that. For those months Jade and I spent together she realized how sweet and loving Aunt I was and she was thankful to know that. Jade is very adorable and smart kid, everybody are happy when she is around too. I look forward meeting Ashley soon!
