I got a message in my friendster this morning from my friend in California. She told me that she is going to call me today and want me to talk to somebody's special in our hearts. It's Laarni Lozada the new Grand Star Dreamer of Pinoy Dream Academy season 2.

The phone rang for the first time I was hoping it was them but that was my hubby. I turned off my laptop thought that sis Mig didn't connect to Laarni. Besides, it's almost 1am in Philippines already. Laarni should be in bed at this time. I was lying on the couch and the phone rang again... my heartbeat goes fast, I'm a little nervous and I jumped off to reach the phone. Yes, it's Migette on the other line. She told me that my wish will be granted today. I can talk to Laarni on the phone now-she is on the other line. Woohooo! She was...hearing her soft, sweet voice I feel like on the cloud 9. I guess, this just a a feeling of being a fan. We talked and I introduced myself and told her we came in the same hometown. We spoke in our very own dialect and realizing what a small world. I have a friend that happens her friends too. Haaay, I am so excited of the release of her debut album soon.

Making cards with family

Saturday evening after dinner with our uncle and aunt Lisa told us that we can make cards. She have all the materials on cards making. At first, I had a hard time starting it...I don't know exactly I'm going to do.

There's no specific occasion... Mom and Lisa tried to copy the design from the book I didn't. I wanna make my own design and style,lol.

It's fun to make cards with somebody though. Besides, we all had fun and enjoy the company together. We want to do it again soon when my parents-in-law will come and stay with us on weekend.

My hubby forgot to took my birthday cake before he sliced it. As what we always said, late is better than never. This is the huge cake he ordered for a surprised party for me last Sunday 9/21/08.

He ordered this cake from Sam's club store. That was very smart idea he got from our Pastor's wife because it served a lot of people that day in the church. And, I was very surprised too. Imagine my hubby planned that party for me. It wasn't big as my last year birthday party that planned of our church friends but this year is very meaningful. Thank you Lord for a loving and sweet husband too.

It's Fall!

The trees turn yellow and orange. Allergies started too,lol. One thing for sure another season is gone and we turn to a new one. I love all 4 season here but lately, I was just fascinating wearing spring and summer clothes. The other night while I was arranging my walk-in closet I was talking to myself and said "I wish summer is not over yet". My hubby heard me and asked what am I talking about. I told him haay, I am not ready to wear any winter clothes yet. He only laughed!

I had so much fun buying and wearing my summer clothes and I am not totally over yet. Summer clothes are lighter than winter clothes. But, I only have a choice to "wear clothes" to those clothes for winter keep myself warm. This weekend it started cooling off here in Arkansas but I can still enjoying wearing my summer clothes. The temperature is being fair so far. I like it!

I fought the spirit of fear in past few days. I don't know exactly how it started but it just popped up in my mind something and I kept thinking over and over. My heart was filled of fear, fear to face the future. I can't help it but to cry and cry too. My hubby was worried so much about it. He checked me every now and then while was at work.

I had to fight that kind of spirit. I want to prove that the God I serve is a mighty God. I turn back and hold on the promise of the Lord once again. "I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go.” Genesis 28:15 NIV. Isn't that something? Isn't that God promised to watch over me every single time? Isn't that what he promised, he will do? My strenght get back and I feel much better after that realization.

Fixing again?

while he was moving our yard few weeks ago he accidentally hit the blade in the rocks. It was twisted and could not cut the grass anymore. Now, our yard are pleeding to cut them very soon.

I told my hubby that we will get a new lawn mower to mow the yard but he said he will try to fox the problem again. It's too bad to throw the very nice and quality loan mower if we can fix it and the price is not that high. He's right! But when, he could fix and mow the yard- he said I will try to do it this weekend.

Well, I teach my hubby on how to save up some money,lol. I pray that he will fix it and that we can get back to mow our yard again. I know is already fall but our grass still growing and growing.

My Brother meet his future in-laws

Last month my brother went home from Oman to formally asked the hand of his fiancee. Actually his fiancee works at Riyadh until this moment as a Nurse and took a vacation. They met in Jeddah 2 years ago when my brothers works over there and they attended the same church.

Through the restriction of the country about relationship they made it secret and communicated through phone calls, emails and chat. That was tough, but they don't want be in trouble. God open the door for my brother to work in Oman. Another tough decision for both of them but my brother looked on the brighter side. Finally, they made a plan to get marry and hopefully his wife to be will move to Oman with him. I know there's a lot of open doors for nurses anywhere in the world. And, I believe she can find a better job when she decide to move with my brother. Whew! I'm looking forward to attend their wedding in Philippines next year too. When God allow he will provide the finances I need for the flight.

Two years ago were the most horrible years for my hubby concerning his credit. He was using his credit cards without thinking about the consequences of doing that. Yes, he had and still has a very good job, he was single, but even though he earned really good money he spent it like crazy. He was in a very bad debt situation. My Friend Arrived in US yesterday

Yes, my chatted me this evening and informed me that they are in the country now. Her husband and her little boy arrived in Texas yesterday. I am looking forward to see them on November. It would be 8 years ago since the last time we see each other.

When I was in Thailand before she was in Singapore. She planned to visit me there but she didn't made it. When I went to Singapore that was here schedule to visit her family in Philippines. A little disappointed because our schedule didn't cooperate. It's been 8 years, we chatted, writing emails, talked on skype and hopefully this time everything goes well. Who knows after 8 years we will see each other again here in US. Isn't that small world? Or will say the world is round, lol.

The Lamborghini Car

Oppps! I am saying the real Lamborghini Car. Lol, See on the picture? When we were at my parents-in-law 2 weeks ago, Lance was looking anything to sell on ebay. Digging his bedroom at his parents house we found his favorite "lamborghini" toy car. He said this toy car was his favorite when he was a kid, even until now,lol.

Oh yeah, I checked on it and still in good condition. I never seen any scatches. As he remembered this car a Christmas presents from his parents when he was 8-9 years old. Think how old that toy car now, lol. My hubby is now on his 30's. That means that car is over 20 years already. He dream one day, he will own the real Lamborghini car. Hope he does too.

I won the bidding

I was hooked up to ebay store in few days. I don't know why but I just want to have fun looking some items inside. Actually my hubby sold bunch of his electronics stuff lately and I checked his account every now and then to see if his selling items are likeable or not. He did pretty good job. I found some brand new items in very cheap price and that catched my eyes. I bidded the other day but I lost. I don't want to further on my expectation price. Yellow is Beautiful

Since I was a kid I'm not fun with anything about color yellow. I remember I was on 5th grade when my mom bought me a yellow dress for Christmas party in our school. We looked every store in our town but we could not find pure dress that would fit for me. My mom did her magic trick for me to agree to buy the yellow dress. That yellow dress had a red picture - I forgot what picture that was. My mother said it wasn't a plane yellow but has red in it that would be fine. I still have my favorite red color,lol.

When I grow up I can only have yellow t-shirt when it will be a school requirements or somebody bought for me. They said yellow looks good on me because of my light complexion but I couldn't appreciated. I wasn't attracted even to the yellow roses. I would say, beauty depends to the eyes of the beholder.

Few weeks ago, I started loving the yellow color. I wear my yellow dress, shirts and before my birthday I told my husband I wanted to receive a yellow roses. What???? as he was surprised! What happen to red? I still love it, but I want yellow roses. Poor hubby he had a hard time finding a yellow roses on my birthday. A day before my birthday we went to 2 Wal-mart store close in our house but they were out of stock of yellow roses. I kept repeating to my hubby, remember I want yellow roses. Whew! He had to get up early in the morning to find a yellow roses yesterday. Finally, Walgreens has it. He bought both yellow and red roses and it's pretty good combination of the 2 colors. Now, I would say, "Yellow is also a Beautiful" color.

What are the Trashy Thoughts?

I am not perfect yet I am working that to make a better person. But, oftentimes I failed, my weakness is stronger and defeated my strength. More oftentimes I am listening to the vocabulary in my mind. The vocabulary of being defeated? “Don’t talk to me,” “I’m in a bad mood.” As if my mood control me. I allow the emotions to drive me going to the pit. It wasn't good. “As he thinks in his heart, so he is.” Proverbs 23:7 NKJV. I kept reminding myself with this verse yet I still fail.

Can I make a choice? Paul says I do: “We capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ” (2 Cor. 10:5). Huh?, this remind me of the soldiers motto "obey first before you complain. Never say "no" for good, but say goodbye to the old self. Do not let the trashing thoughts drive you...push those and trash them out in our mind. Can you do that? Can I? Yes, through the help of our almighty God!

My Man

Last Sunday afternoon, after my birthday party my hubby and I head out to attend the funeral of our great uncle. But, since we were late we only met the family at the cemetery. Almost our immediate family were there. Lance and I were very excited to see the other extended relatives. Most of them I met on thanksgiving day last year .

On the way, Lance told me his worried about Janet the youngest daughter of uncle Red. Janet is very close to her Daddy even she's already in her 40's, married and have a son but still she's a daddy's girl. They love messing up each other, pillow fighting, they are a very good, good buddies.

To our surprised Janet showed how strong woman she was. Lance almost cried when Janet hugged us and said, "He is my man". I'm gonna miss him, but I know God has wonderful for my Daddy. I guess, I'm gonna hang out with you all more often now. I had a wonderful memories with my wonderful man. He remains the best man in my heart and in my life. I have to move and cherish all wonderful memories with him. She has the positive attitude in the midst of sorrow. God is the strength of our heart.

Yesterday, I celebrate another blessed year that God given to me. It was full of suprises and wonderful people around. My hubby got up very early in the morning to buy me a dozen of red and yellow roses. Before my birthday I was telling him that I love yellow roses at this time. A night before we were in the store and he could not find any yellow roses besides I was with him,lol.

I am totally blessed with God's goodness and faithfulness. He knew exactly what makes me happy. I got some birthday presents from family and very close friends. How nice was it? hehehe. God knows me. He engraved my name on his hands and keeps my tears in a bottle (Isa. 49:16; Ps. 56:8. How wonderful to know that somebody never forget all your labor? Though I am no longer getting younger, anyone doesn't,lol. I greatly rejoice of a brand new life he has given me. I am content of what life God has given me. I thank God of another blessed year with him!

Well, My hubby got me the cake

I was thinking it might be Monica will give me a cake. Because she always give me some surpises. But, when she came to pick Emma up she didn't bring anything. So, I'll wait until my hubby came home. Yes, he brought me a cake and an ice cream. Isn't that sweet? He said, it just the beginning of my birthday celebration.

Actually, tomorrow is my real birthday. I had no idea that hubby planned a birthday party for me until he talked to his Mom on the phone lastnight. Read on my other blog.

White or Chocolate Cake?

Tada! I am counting the hours and it will be my birthday. My hubby asked me what do want "Chocolate or White cake"?. I said I like German chocolate cake. Who will give me a cake, I asked. He only said it's a "secret". Oh my gosh! Somebody again will give me another surprise?

I am not really sure if my husband gonna buy the cake or someone else. Lastyear, I had no idea the surprise birthday I had that prepared with our church friend. My husband was asking me all the info what I like, blah, blah and blah. Now, who's gonna give me a cake? Lol, I can't wait, I want to know-hehehe. Hope he/she/they gonna find German chocolate cake. B-A-D News

My husband just told me that our Grandma Watson's brother-in-law passed away lastnight. Huh?! It was a very shocking news because yesterday my mom-in-law and grandma were here. Grandma has a Doctor appointment for her eyes and she said she was gone from here home for couple days. She stayed and take care her sister because of the serious illness.

So, this news was very schocking news, that uncle Red died. Indeed, life is to short. I only met uncle Red once on "Thanksgiving day" last year. I am not really sure what the caused of his death yet. Oh my gosh! This weekend will be my birthday and my hubby and I were planning to do something but I guess ending up going home and be with family. This remind me the year 2004 I went home on my birthday and after 3 days my Grandma passed away. That was the sweetest birthday I had spending the remaining days of my "Lola" (grandma). Well, all things have a reason and has season.

Yehey! I’m turning old again in 3 days, lol. Months, days, hours, minutes, seconds flies so fast and again it’s my birthday. It seems like yesterday. Whew! As the song says ” Rise and Shine”. Paying the Utilities

Because the system here is kinda different in terms of paying the bills so I got to learn and get to adjust first. In Philippines and Thailand commonly they have similar system. I had to pay our utilities bills at the company itself or to the bank.

My first trip to Thailand

Thailand was the first country I been to. I remembered when the immigration officer checked my passport he asked me if my age in my passport was right. I smiled and said, yes that's true! I knew I look younger than my age. I can show more proof like my birth certificate. He said, no need and she stamped my passport.

Whew! I was scared that he will not let me to leave the country at that time. It would be a big frustration if he will not allow me to pass the immigration because I had everything I needed for my trip. When he said, okay I let you go I felt like floating in the sky. When I was on board I was thinking what will be my life in Thailand would be. Thai people could hardly understand English and even coudn't speak. When we landed in Bangkok, I have only 5 minutes left for my connecting flight. I was so scared that the plane will leave me. I don't know where's the domestic area. I kept asking the staff, security at the airport but they didn't gave me the right answers. That started the language barriers. I was determined to find the domestic area and thank God I finally found it. When I check in the counter he said I have to wait a little longer because the plane just arrive. Then, I felt better and relax.

Parents VIP Night

Lastnight was our 2nd meeting for our cubbies class. It was a Parents VIP night, that means parents came to church and set in our class. So far we have only 3 parents to the class since one of our parents is our AWANA commander. She knew everything about it, lol. Ali's parents didn't come. She said her parents work and work all day long and could not come with her to church. Well, that's alright I know they can able to see Ali's performance in our class. She is one of the smartest kid in the class.

It was a fun night but tough night as well. Little kids are always hyper and wants to do something new every minute. So, we had games for them too and my hubby prepared it. They have to shoot the rice bags in the bucket in front of them. This is my time that my hubby teach a little kids and he still learning how to handle them but I've seen his progress after a week. I love kids and I've been in Children's ministry like my whole life. I'm so happy that God put me in this kind of ministry here again.

Why need the Pot of prayer. I was scrolling my devotional online and I found this "The pot of Prayer" topic. “I will go to the altar of God, to God who is my joy and happiness.” Psalm 43:4

Swing with me

Obviously I on my comfy moments! My hubby took me to his office 2 weeks ago and he showed me his favorite hang out place. Yes, this is outside their office building. I tried the swing and he was right nice and comfortable.

Back To School

School started about a month ago. I asked some students if they are happy to be back in school this year. Some said "Yes" but majority said "No". I asked why, they simply said so much "homework". That's right, but that's part of learning process. I remember when I was in elementary school; how I wished summer will come very soon. When summer came, I got bored staying at home and fighting with my sister all the time. Then I wanted to go back to school.

When school was about to start my mother would buy me school supplies. I had almost everything I needed and my mother reminded me to be responsible and organize my things, but I kept loosing my pens, markers and etc. How I wish I had some file folders at that time. My husband called to his parents the other day and his mom wanted to talk to me. When husband handed me the phone Mom asked me what I want for my birthday. Whew! My hubby took this picture last week at Mc Donalds close in our place. He said he need to take a new picture me for the wallpaper in his cellphone. Wallpaper again? When I woke up this morning I felt a little cold. I didn't check the weather until our friend Monica dropped Emma off. When I open the door I smell the fresh, cool breeze outside. Yesterday, I was overwhelmed when Laarni Losala got the title as a Grand Star Dreamer of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2. A day before, I helped to make emails to used for voting. Finally, the Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 has the new Grand Star Dreamer. The pride of Sultan Kudarat, Philippines "Laarni Losala" got the title. She has the versatile talent, a fighter, powerful voice and a darling of the crowd. I can't believe myself to fool in this reality show because of her,lol.

Cuneta Astrodome was indeed filled with tension as the much awaited announcement of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2’s Grand Star Dreamer has finally arrived. The Top Six Scholars were joined by their former co-Scholars, Vina Morales and Wency Cornejo to open the show with their rendition of Bon Jovi’s It’s My Life and the legendary group Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’.

Joining the new Grand Star Dreamer in the Top Three were Bugoy and Miguel who gathered a total of 26.70% and 13.69% respectively. Unfortunately, Liezel, who was a consistent Star Scholar didn’t make it into the Top Three and had to settle with fourth place with a total of 247,346 text votes. I really wished liezel made to the top 3, but she didn't. She was followed by Van who garnered 112,065 votes while Cris filled in the last slot with only a total of 36,487 text votes. Awhile ago I was watching the Pinoy Dream Academy performanced night. Wherein the the top 6 scholars graduated from Academy and performed for their last gala night. The night that Bugoy, Cris, Laarni, Liezel, Miguel and Van have been waiting for has finally arrived— the Grand Dream Night. Again, they were asked to face the jurors, composed of Louie Ocampo, Girlie Rodis and their very own Dream Mentors, in order to gain commendations and be hailed deserving of the newest Grand Star Dreamer title. To open the act, the reality show’s infamous hosts—Nikki Gil, Billy Crawford, and Toni Gonzaga—shared their part with an interesting opening number, followed by the performance of the expelled Scholars. I'm a little nervious and anxious what gonna be happen in few hours from now. Hehehe!

Tomorrow will be the awarding ceremony, and the announcing of "Grand Star Dreamer" of Pinoy Dream Academy Season2. Who has what it takes to get the title. Who deserves to win? It would be Bugoy, Laarni, Cris, Liezel, Van and Miguel?

Too Incredible

Who is the most incredible in your life? You may say your parents, spouse, children, friend or family. I am blessed when I read this devotional this morning with the title "Too Incredible". In John 3:31 says "The One who comes from above is greater than all.”

The idea that a virgin would be selected by God to bear himself…The notion that God would don a scalp and toes and two eyes…The thought that the King of the universe would sneeze and burp and get bit by mosquitoes…It’s too incredible. Too revolutionary. We would never create such a Savior. We aren’t that daring.

Whom this word refer to? No other than God! When we create a redeemer, we keep him safely distant in his faraway castle. We allow him only the briefest of encounters with us. We permit him to swoop in and out with his sleigh before we can draw too near. We wouldn’t ask him to take up residence in the midst of a contaminated people. In our wildest imagination we wouldn’t conjure a king who becomes one of us.

Haircut for men

It has been a year since I started cutting my hubby's hair. At first, I don't have idea on how to trim/cut man's hair. But my hubby were keep asking me over and over again. At least, I'll give a shot. Hehehe! Yes, I trimmed his hair with condition, "Do not tell anybody I cut your hair". He said yes, so I did! He look on the mirror and appreciated what I had done. He likes it and I can't believe myself that it turned good too.


Since Sunday was approaching at that time, I kept reminding him our condition. Sunday came, my husband plays guitar in our church. After the Sunday service our friend, Jesse told Lance "Man, you got your haircut done, I like it". How much you paid for your haircut ? My husband was very excited to hear that praise and suddenly said, Mimi cut my hair. Lol, he blushed, he look at me and said sorry I told Jesse that you cut my hair. Since Jesse appreciated it I said that's alright. I will love to give you haircut anytime you want, baby. Lol. Well, his hairstyle is not that difficult though.

Cubbies

Lastnigt, we begin our "Cubbies" class for this school year 2008-2009. We have 5 kids in our class and they are all active. You know little kids at ages 3 and 4 years old, they are very energetic and very active. My hubby and I are holding this class. We share the tasks. While hubby is reading the story, I make sure the kids are listening. My hubby and I are happy to see those little faces who were excited to be in our class.

Well, our first class went so good. We gave them "AWANA Bucks" when they recited our memory verse for tonight and finish all the work we gave. Kelly, a teenager girl from our church is helping us too. We sure we had a great time. It's our joy to see those little kids excited to learn more about JESUS.!

Yehey' PR is Back

God is good, all the time! Yesterday, my Pr's turned 0 but now I see the green spot again. This blog has Pr1. So glad I have the Pr in this blog again. I wish this will remain and will goes up. When All Else Fails

Last Christmas, our Pastor gave me a plaque as a Christmas present. On the plaque has a qoute says "When All Else Fails, Ask Mimi". With that simple quote written on there had a big impact in my heart. I can't believe that in few months since I got here last year they found me being positive and has something to offer. I hang that plaque on the side of our refrigator as my hubby said to be seen when it's needed.

I'm kinda down a little bit today and I couldn't cry. So, that means everything stucked inside of me. My hubby kept checking me if I'm alright. I said yes, I wish I can cry that I will be better. I saw this plaque again and ask myself "Whom I'm gonna ask when all else fails?". It's a weird question but the answer simply "God". He has the control about everything that I worry for. He is the one who will restore my joy and give me peace. As my friend reminded me today, everything is only temporary. Everything has end. Everything has the Departure Date as we refer to Eccles. 7:1. I would say, everything it's up to the Lord!

PPP Assestment

When I turned on my laptop this morning and check my PPP status for both of my blogs I was shocked to find out that my other blog rejected. IZEA company are doing their assestment to each blog that network with them. Kinda hurt but yes, I could not make money on my other blog right now...I wish that I have something to do to fix the problem. But' I guess, this is the will of the Lord. I want to praise God for giving me sometime to earn throught writing reviews. Indeed, it's my joy to help my husband in our finances. Maternity disability can turn what is otherwise a happy occasion into a financially harrowing experience when the mother is left unable to work for months before and/or after delivery. Disability Income insurance can be the answer to the unknown risk to a household’s cash flow due to pregnancy.

Many larger companies offer paid maternity leave to employees whereby the employee is granted full pay for a period of time (generally 3 months) while out of work with the newborn. Any complications that cause the employee to miss work before delivery or beyond the maternity leave period after delivery result in a loss of income for days or even months.

Individual short term disability insurance can provide up to 70% of regular income when you’re not able to work due to illness or injury for 3-6 months. Long-term disability insurance takes over after the short-term benefits period has passed and can provide income protection for up to five years or longer.

Mothers-to-be often rely on the group disability insurance offered by their employer. Group disability usually covers up to 60% of regular income.
